Amy Bilski

A little over a month ago, our beloved Amy Bilski got the much-dreaded call from her doctor. A lump she found in her breast was indeed Cancer. She has since, received the official diagnosis of Stage 1-A Estrogen Positive Breast Cancer. As many of you know, Amy has a long family history of Cancer; having lost her sister Melynda 20 years ago, and most recently, losing her mother to gastric cancer (after having had beaten breast cancer.) While her prognosis is a good one, she has decided to keep it that way by going the radical route with a full double mastectomy with reconstruction and oophorectomy- just in case those ovaries get any funny ideas. Amy, Matt, Sophie, and CeCe have made the executive decision to approach this journey with humor and optimism...would you expect anything less from the Bilski's? Her surgery is scheduled for 7/19, so send the love and positive energies.
