My story begins with a sore throat not going away after 2 weeks, of course during the pandemic, I was able to get a throat culture and which was negative, then on Saturday, May 16 I woke up with a swollen neck, by Tuesday May 19, I was sent in for a Cat scan which revealed Tongue Cancer...and the journey begins. For the next three weeks I was put through a multitude of tests and Doctors appointments all of which put us on the roller coaster of emotions, good news, not so good news, better news, not better news, final news... HPV small cell tongue cancer with spot on my liver same cancer HPV small cell. Best news its " CURATIVE!" Today is June 25th and I am in treatment receiving my first round of chemo, It takes 8 hours because they give me three different kinds. Chemo plan is every 3 weeks for 6-8 rounds when I am finished with Chemo I will start radiation for 7 weeks, everyday M-F. I will journal and update as days go on, I plan on continuing to work and carrying on with
