Please let’s do all we can do for  sweet little Amelia Ann

Amelia was born with a meconium ileus. The first surgery removed the blockage and her appendix! Thinking that was the only thing wrong,  they started her on tubal feeds. She suddenly started projectile spitting up and stopped pooping.  Instantly they stopped feeding and the next day took her to surgery!  Amelia had been through another surgery. They removed a small part of her intestine that was infected. They took the small intestine and sewed it shut, the big intestine they made a ostomy with. So this surgery was more extensive and painful. She will have the ostomy for 8-12 weeks. Then they will do another surgery to reattach the large and small intestines. Once they are reattached we will then have to wait to see if she can digest her milk properly and her bowels expell of it. We are looking at 3-5 months of her being in the NICU. We drive back and forth every night and wouldn't miss it for the world.  We can only stand by her bedside right now, praying. Touching her over stimulates her at times. Never have we felt so helpless. Praying God puts his hands on her, eases her pain and heals her.
