On Friday, July 7, Amber was involved in a serious car accident in Fond Du Lac County. Flight for Life was used to transport her to Froedtert Hospital Trauma Center. She had an amazing team of physicians, nurses and attendants taking care of her numerous life threatening injuries. Very few of her bones are not broken and she suffered burn damage to her entire body, but severely to her legs. It is too early to confirm or rule out head injury and/or brain damage. She is heavily sedated to make sure she is comfortable. She is not conscious but is breathing with assistance (intubated). She is stabilizing her blood pressure without the need of meds. She is a fighter!!! We will plan on posting weekly as small, baby step gains, setbacks, surgeries and procedures are constantly occurring.
