Most of you know that Amber had weight loss surgery about 9 years ago. She has been sick ever since, but since December things have gotten much worse. Shes been having pain in her abdomen, severe nausea, vomiting, diahriah, cognitive issues, and now recently we've found out she's pregnant. Amber's health has severely declined in the past few months. She weighs in these days anywhere from 93 to 103 lbs, depending on how many fluids we can keep in her. She recently passed out and fell in a restaraunt, and was taken by ambulance to the hospital. They gave her more IV fluids and sent her home. Because she is pregnant, not a whole lot of testing can be done anymore. She was scheduled to have surgery about a week ago for a diagnostic laparascopy on her lower GI track, but because she's pregnant they had to cancel it. Josh and Amber are fighting for her life and now for the life of their unborn child. On top of all her health issues, because Josh was trying to establish a life in Colorado for their family and Ambers cognitive issues started causing safety concerns, their boys Rollie and Jacob were taken into the Todd county foster care system. Its been very difficult for their whole family. Todd county continues to withhold their boys from them, even though josh came back from Colorado to care for his family. The stress of all of these things combined is becoming very difficult for their whole family. They continue to pray, seek God, and hold on to their faith. Amber received a letter from the U of M stating that the use of marijuana is encouraged to help stop the nausea and vomiting, and hopefully create an appetite for her. They jumped the gun on it because you need a diagnosis to receive the prescription. Ambers diagnostic testing remains unfinished due to her pregnancy, so they could not get the diagnosis.
