Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated on Amberle's current status as she recovers, by God's grace, from a rare and debilitating disease known as Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN). 




Amberle was admitted in the emergency room of Baylor All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth on October 10, 2012.  She was transferred to Parkland Hospital Burn ICU the following day since this hospital is better equipped to treat patients with this rare auto-immune disease.  
On November 14, 2012, Amberle was discharged and we brought her home to Albuquerque to begin her rehabilitation and recuperation.  She was medically excused from TCU since she was unable to continue her first semester of her senior year.

As of January 11, 2013, Amberle returned to TCU to continue her undergraduate Nursing and Religion studies.  She still suffers from low vision on her right eye and no vision on her left eye.  We are praying that God will restore her sight as she continues to heal.  We also ask you to pray that she will find good health care professionals in Fort Worth that will give her as good a care as the ones who took care of her in Parkland Hospital and UNM Hospital.  Amberle's friends and school staff have been amazing in surrounding her with their love and support.  May she continue to find favor as she returns to campus.
Please continue to lift her up in your prayers.  May the good Lord continue to be glorified in all these circumstances as we rejoice in the knowledge that He loves her more than we ever could.
