My story hardly begins here. But this story can begin here.  Leiomyosarcoma. Great. I first read about it when I was told I had a large uterine fibroid. I really like information. Learning about what I am facing helps me "process". One percent of women who have a hysterectomy for fibroids learn that not everything that looks like a fibroid on imaging tests actually turns out to be a fibroid. One percent of us learn that we have this sarcoma. Great. 


So tomorrow I am going for an appointment at Duke.  My previous "stories" have been written the old fashioned way - in journals. On occasion, I have let people read these stories. And they benefitted from my experiences. I hope this story can be like that for someone.
