Hello there! First off I would like to thank you for taking the time to hear my story. My name is Alyshia Elizabeth and this all started shortly after I was born when the doctors had realized I had an enlarged kidney. With hopes to try to save it and avoid a lifelong sequence of health problems they put in a stint when I was just a couple months old. The drain was supposed to release all pressure which in turn would let my kidney grow correctly. Sadly due to the lack of a car after the surgery I received the shunt was pulled out and I was never taken back in. Now fast forward to 19 years of ongoing kidney problems and emergency surgery's to place stints in to drain my kidney in hope of somehow saving it. Now I sit here with yet another stint in a kidney that cannot properly function without it. In July it went to the point of no return when it swelled up and now takes up the entire right side of my abdomen even with the stint and infection free. With it in this condition, effecting my health and putting my life in danger if it were to ever burst-my next option is a surgery to have my right kidney completely removed.
As many of you know the ongoing medical costs are extensive and any type of donation will help with the costs of medical expenses, loss of hours at work and so on.... I may even have to be flown to North Dakota to a kidney specialist there who is familiar with my case to have the surgery done. All variables are currently unknown.
I would like to thank you for reading through to learn a little about me. My GoFundMe is linked to here. Thank you to those who donate... anything will truly help and I am very gracious of your generosity. If you cannot donate anything financially, I ask that you please keep me in your prayers and thoughts as I go through this journey.
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I have plans for you sayith the Lord. Plans that are not of evil, but to give you a future and a hope."
This Bible verse is my life. It what keeps me going and helps me keep in check that God plans everything for a reason. Even though I am 19 and something like this shouldn't happen to someone my age and so young.... everything is planned accordingly and I just need to find the good in it. It will be hard for sure, but with those around me giving me positive messages and encouragement I know I can make it through this trying time.
