09/16/2018Welcome to our CaringBridge website where we can keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.   Mom is at Burnsville Ridges Hospital. 

Alyce  had hip replacement surgery on August 30, 2018. Things appeared to be going well during her immediate recovery time over the next few weeks, but then she began to become tired and very low on energy.  In her words, she had no "oomph."  She was hospitalized on Monday, September 10, 2018 and she remains in the hospital, unable to maintain adequate oxygen levels and with her lungs full of fluid.   The doctors are not quite sure what is going on, and they are continuing to do diagnostic tests.  It looks like she will be here awhile, but she has good care and optimistic and positive medical people surrounding her.
