Althea Carey

After serving for 36 years as a missionary in the Philippines, Althea and Bob Carey retired in 1999.  On January 25, 2016, they returned to the Philippines for the first time, to participate in the 50th anniversary celebration of the Evangelical Free Church of the Philippines.  On February 10, while visiting Baguio City, a place they used to go for vacations, Mom fell about seven feet, breaking both legs and sustaining other injuries.  She was taken to the Notre Dame Hospital where she underwent surgery and is now recovering.  As Dad says, this accident was not part of our plans, but we trust that Romans 8:28 is still in the book, and that God will accomplish his purposes even through this tragedy.
