Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Shortly after Al retired he stared to feel like he was in a funk and dealing with some depression. He was very tired, sleeping 12-14 hours a night and very low energy. With having tragically losing his brother just days before he retired and then having to adjust to a whole new life style with retiring, it made sense that he may be struggling with some depression. He lost some weight, rather rapidly, but one of his diabetes medications can do that. So with all the things he was experiencing, we thought we had the answers to. Unfortunately it wasn't as simple as that. On November 21st Al was diagnosed with a brain tumor and this is where the story begins.
