On Saturday, October 28th, 2017, Ally became unresponsive shortly after the rapid onset of a severe headache and was immediately rushed to the hospital.
Ally’s CT scan revealed severe bleeding in her brain and she immediately underwent emergency surgery. The neurosurgeon has diagnosed her with AVM, Arteriovenous Malformation, a rare condition affecting less than 1% of all people. AVM is a tangle of abnormal blood vessels in the brain which adversely affects the supply of oxygen to Ally’s brain. Additional complications are possible, but it is still too early to know the extent of damage to Ally’s brain.
Doctors are hopeful, but she will be hospitalized for a minimum of several weeks. There is not yet a definitive timetable for her recovery. We will be updating this site often in order to update everyone on Ally’s condition. Thank you all for your concern, well wishes and prayers.
