Shortly after Alison turned 3 years old she had her yearly pediatric wellness check. We were told she was a little low on iron but otherwise a perfectly healthy, thriving child. Only 2.5 months later on July 31, 2018, Alison was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. By that point the cancer had completely taken over her body. She required life-saving blood and platelets.
