Alin Oberding

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. 


Alin had emergency surgery at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, NY to repair a tear in his aorta (Type A Aortic Dissection) on June 2nd.  He was in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit until June 11th, but remains in the hospital.   His care team believes that he will be able to move to a rehabilitation facility in the next few days.  It is unknown how long he will stay in rehab, but he will be living there 24 hours/day.
