Hello!  We will be using the CaringBridge journal and gallery as an update for our family and friends during Alice's surgery and recovery.  We will not be raising donations/gifts/meals.

Alice was diagnosed at the age of 10 with Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis.   For three years, she wore a back brace for 16-18 hours a day.  The brace was able to hold her curve under 50 degrees while she continued to grow.   Unfortunately, her growth over the summer resulted in an increase in her curvature leading us down the road to spine surgery.  She will be in the hospital for up to one week.  Most patients are out of school for six weeks from the time of surgery.  We hope to have Alice back at Saint Francis Xavier by February 1st to finish up her 8th grade year!  John and I wanted to send a message of thanks to our family and friends for all of their thoughts and prayers.
