On Thursday, December 31st, Mom had a biopsy of a cyst on her pancreas. The procedure led to painful acute pancreatitis and COVID. She was subsequently hospitalized on January 8th, her birthday.
Her other medical conditions have made battling COVID difficult and particularly her breathing. On January 10th, Mom was moved to ICU to expand the breathing machine options. She fought bravely while struggling to get enough oxygen. On January 11th, she chose to go on a ventilator to giver her body a chance to rest and hopefully heal.
On 1/15, we learned the biopsy of the cyst on the pancreas showed no malignant cells.
On Sunday, January 17th with her sons by her side, Mom went home to be pain free and at Jesus side.
