2015 was quite a year. After being diagnosed in January with an Adult Medulloblastoma tumor I went through proton radiation and chemo after surgery to remove as much as possible. After being pronounced “stable” around Christmas I started healing and went back to Second Grade the fall of 2016. In June my tumor was back. I underwent Gamma Knife radtion which resulted in swelling and scar tissue. These side-effects were very obvious by my first Mayo Clinic appt in December 2017. I returned to STL and had surgery January 8th of 2018. My surgery pathology report showed mostly swelling and scar tissue, but up to 20% of what was recurrent tumor. Now I am back at Mayo awaiting a stem cell transplant. Will update from there!
