Alia was born at 33 weeks with a large cancerous tumor. She underwent chemotherapy for her first year before going into remission. She has been in remission for the past 6 years. Recently, Alia, now 7, started experiencing pain in her chest where previous cancer had been. After taking her to the ER with excruciating pain Tuesday evening, another mass was found in her chest and she was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday, November 9, 2016.
