On August 2, 2016, I was diagnosed with Stage 2, HER2+ Metastatic Breast Cancer just two months after turning 40. I'd never been emotionally or physically healthier and there is no history of cancer anywhere in my family. So I was thrust head on into the battle of a lifetime in a bit of a state of shock, but with great determination to fight to win. I've been overwhelmed by the immediate and immense outpouring of love and support from my family, friends, and some I don't even know but who can relate to my story. I'm overwhelmed by gratitude. I've been using Facebook for brief updates as has my family. Here I will chronical my battle in greater detail for those of you who so sweetly ask for more updates and don't mind my verbosity. :) I thank you all from the bottom of my heart and soul. Your thoughts and prayers and well-wishes for me and my family are getting me through this day-by-day. I love you all!
