Familia, amigos, amigos de amigos; por favor  ayúdennos a salvar la vida de nuestra hermana Alexandra, ella en este momento lucha contra un cáncer de colon en etapa 3, 

Nuestra hermana Alexandra, de 52 años, fue diagnosticada con cáncer de colon en etapa 3 hace 18 semanas y no ha podido comenzar ningún tratamiento debido a los desafíos que enfrenta con el sistema de salud colombiano y sus altos costos que se ha negado a  tratarla a pesar de su dolor extremo e incapacidad de trabajar. 




Ella  necesita  una cirugía para extirpar su tumor de inmediato, la semana pasada, finalmente pudimos programar una serie de  sesiones de quimioterapia y radioterapia, mientras se aprueba el procedimiento quirúrgico.




Frente a los altos costos del tratamiento, hemos iniciado este fondo para ayudarla, pues además de la terapia se deben pagar alimentos, viajes y cuidados médicos, pues Alexandra  ya no puede caminar  o trabajar.




Alexandra se mantiene fuerte por sus tres hijos y  esposo, pero no sobrevivirá por mucho más tiempo si no actuamos rápido. Nuestra hermana es una luz amable, valiente y brillante en este mundo y ha trabajado extremadamente duro toda su vida para mantener a su familia. Ahora es nuestro turno de retribuirle.

Family, friends, friends of friends. Please help us save our sister’s life as she battles Stage 3 colon cancer.

Our sister Alexandra, 52, was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer 18 weeks ago and has not been able to start any treatment due to challenges she is facing with the Colombian healthcare system. They have refused to see her even though she is in extreme pain and needs surgery to remove her tumor immediately.

Last week, we were finally able to schedule her surgery, chemo, and radiation treatment. We have started this fund to help support her with her extensive treatment costs as well as meals, travel, and caretaking. At this point, she can no longer walk or stand, and therefore can no longer financially support herself.

Alexandra is staying strong for her three sons and her husband, but she will not survive for much longer if we do not act fast. Our sister is a kind, courageous, bright light in this world and has worked tremendously hard her whole life to provide for her family. Now it is our turn to give back to her.
