2 years ago Dad was diagnosed with lung cancer. Since then he has undergone radiation and several rounds of chemo. All were tolerated rather well and the last two years have been fairly busy - lots of traveling, visiting with family and exploring new horizons (Alaska!) Unfortunately we recently learned that the cancer is back and now damaging some of his ribs. With his rapidly declining strength, energy and appetite the last couple months, he is now mostly bedridden and under hospice care. He is not always in the mood to talk on the phone but he loves hearing from you. Allen (AJ) and I started this site for him so that we could all stay "in touch." We will post regular updates and would encourage you all to send your own messages of encouragement and love to Dad. You know he will love to hear from each and every one of you!  I will post the first journal entry tomorrow to fill you in on our eventful weekend...
