Dad had a mishap on July 1 and ended up breaking a bone in his hip. He had surgery to have a partial hip replacement on July 2. Following surgery he was moved to the ICU to have breathing assistance due to his need for oxygen assistance. While there it was determined he had an infection in his lungs and they are giving him antibiotics to treat the infection. The infection has caused some underlying issues and to help Dad rest and heal he is on a respirator and lightly sedated. He is also continuing to receive dialysis while in the ICU.
