Alan’s story began in January 2018 when his Doctor told him he had pneumonia. When the cough (or lump in his chest) didn’t go away, he knew something wasn’t right. He went back to the Doctor in April who diagnosed him with pneumonia again. This time he was also sent to get an ultrasound for a lump on his neck and they found a blood clot. This resulted in a visit to the ER and more tests where they uncovered a mass collapsing his lung about the size of a cantaloupe.
Two weeks later and many more tests, x-rays, CAT scans, MRIs, PET scans, etc. Alan was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He started an aggressive Chemotherapy treatment plan mid-May which will last at least six months. We know it will be a long road ahead, with some good days and some.. well.. not so good. Alan is a fighter and one of the strongest people I know and WILL land on his feet.
Alan and I have been married for 8 years and have three amazing children; Angelo, Lucas and Savannah. With many of our family and friends spread across America and the state of GA, I was asked to put together this page to keep everyone up to date on how Alan is doing. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
