Ailee Jusczak

Most of you all know Ailee and are aware of her syndrome, Moebius. If not I will give you a little information. Her syndrome is a rare neurological/congenital disorder that causes facial paralysis and the inability to move the eyes side to side. Ailee's other cranial nerves
are also affected. She has bilateral hearing loss,low muscle tone,g-tube feed because of a weak swallow reflex..She was also born with a cleft pallet and had a tracheostomy placed. All of these together compromise her body and make her more succeptible to respiratory illness. Ailee has had pneumonia several times and we typically can treat respiratory issues at home with oxygen,nebs,and medication. She has pneumonia this time and also RSV.The RSV is viral and can't be cured with medicine. The only thing we can do is support her body while she's healing.
