Adrian Senentz Adrian's Road to Recovery

First post: Feb 1, 2016 Latest post: Dec 8, 2018
This is an attempt to be a more one-stop definitive source for ongoing information on Adrian's recovery.  On Saturday, January 30th Adrian was struck by a felled tree.  He was rushed to T.C. Thompson's Children's Hospital at Erlanger.  His fractures and wounds were numerous.  After losing lots of blood internally, Adrian had surgery to stop the bleeding and had a portion of his lung removed.  Following that, the focus was on watching some brain bruising and bleeding and working to keep swelling down while keeping everything else from getting worse.  As of EOD Monday, 2/1/2016 it appears that the brain swelling has subsided and we will be beginning work on fractures.  His recovery will likely be months and hospital time measured in weeks.

We are amazed and humbled by the community response.  In such a short time folks have galvanized to donate blood in Adrian's name, to help out with meals and logistics, or to donate to what will likely be some hefty medical and family expenses.  We truly feel blessed by the support of our church community, co-workers, friend, and broader Chattanooga community.  Keep posted here for new updates on how Adrian is doing.
