Adele Finnemann

First post: Nov 30, 2016
Welcome to our CaringBridge website. On October 1st, Adele went to the emergency room and was diagnosed with Ischemic Colitis. She spent a few days in the ICU and a total of 4 weeks at St John's Hospital in Maplewood resting her colon. On October 26th, Adele was transferred to Bethesda Hospital in St Paul where she went to continue resting her colon and rehab. The time at Bethesda was a rocky road.  Adele never got to rehab because she was fighting off fever, infection, and lots of pain.  On November 26th, she returned to St John's Hospital in Maplewood to be considered for colon surgery.  Unfortunately, being too weak, the surgeon told us they were unable to perform surgery.  Without the ability to remove the infected colon, Adele was referred to hospice care.  On November 30th, Adele was transferred to The Pillars Hospice Home in Oakdale.  We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
