On April 16,2015, Addison King, 3 weeks shy of her 8th Birthday was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia(ALL).  This is a fast growing cancer of the white blood cells overcrowding the bone marrow, preventing the bone marrow from making normal red, and white blood cells and platelets.  We took her to the doctor for what we thought was just severe "growing pains", but her pediatrician thought it was more serious and sent us to the ER at the nearby Children's Hospital.  There she underwent blood and bone marrow testing and the diagnosis was made. Her treatment is going to be a long, and very difficult  journey. The doctor's treatment plan for Addi Marie is to have her undergo regular chemotherapy treatments and take several different medications, which can last up to 3 years.  These treatments cause severe suppression of the immune system and with the medication she will be taking, there will be a handful of side-effects.

Addison's oncologist feels strongly that in 3 years the happy, vibrant, strong little girl we know will be cured and can go on to have a completely healthy life!  Thank you for your support, prayers, and donations on behalf of our BRAVE and STRONG little girl.
