Addie was diagnosed with juvenile onset scoliosis at the age of 9 and used bracing for over 5 years. She is a strong girl who never complains and never let her scoliosis stop her from anything. She loves being active from climbing trees to lacrosse and even water skiing. After this long journey her curves have progressed to a point where the options for treatment decreased. She is now scheduled to have surgery October 24th, 2018 to fuse her spine and straighten is as much as possible. The goal is to get her S cure both curves at about 70 degrees down to about 20 degrees. She is a typical 9th grader who wants to be in school and sports. Her biggest concern with this surgery is that she can't do sports for 6 months. Mom and Dad have plenty more concerns but are happy she can get help and she has wonderful doctors and a great hospital to get care.
