Family & Friends-
Back in March, Adam began having some abnormal symptoms with numbness in his arm and some difficulties with typing. When the symptoms became more prominent, he scheduled an appointment to be seen. He had an MRI done on Friday that showed a 5-7 cm brain tumor on the left posterior side. He will go and see a neurosurgeon on Tues, April 13th for further plans.
Update: As of 4/22, we received a preliminary pathology report that indicates this tumor is a Grade 4 primary tumor.
It is moments like this that we realize just how important family and friends are and how life can change in an instant...to cherish each moment, to take the pictures, to be together.
We will be using this website to keep everyone informed. Please utilize this as your source for information, as we will update it frequently as we learn things.
As we start this journey, we humbly ask you for your prayers and support. All of the prayers, donations and food in such a short amount of time has been amazing. We feel every prayer that is said and appreciate all the words of encouragement.
Footprints has always held a special place for Adam and me. For Adam, it was framed in his college dorm room and served as his guiding prayer throughout church retreats and life. For me, it was the prayer I received in 3rd grade to help guide me through my days. I had a key chain of this prayer that I carried with me daily for many years. And now, more than ever, it has a new meaning. We all lean on Him to carry us.
Footprints In The Sand
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it:
"Lord, You told me that once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I just don't understand why when I needed You most You would leave me."
He whispered:
"My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. Never, ever. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
