On Thursday September 14th at 10:45 a.m. Aaron was in a motorcyle accident while driving his Harley Davidson. He was traveling on I35 headed South between North Branch and Stacy when a large divot in the road caused the bike to wobble out of control. An event like is a complete fluke, random, and something that could happen to any rider. Aaron made a quick and life saving decision to go off the road into the ditch.
Aaron was airlifted by Life Link to Regions Hospital and is currently being treated in the ICU. He has had two spinal surgeries at the Thoracic and Cervical levels. There are multiple other injuries including a collapsed lung, broken ribs, broken clavicle, and broken sternum.
He is anticipated the be in the ICU for 5-10 additional days. He will be in the hospital for some time before moving to a rehabilitation facility. There are many unknowns at this time as to the extent of his cervical and thoracic spinal injuries and when he will begin to be able to breathe on his own without the respirator. No matter the outcome of his injuries, this will be a long road for Aaron and his family.
Aaron's family is hopeful and praying for a full recovery for him. Aaron is a strong and life loving person. He is the person who will pull over when he sees a car is broken down on the freeway and help the driver push it to safety. Aaron is a kind and caring person. He loves his family and makes sure they are always taken care of and that they know he loves them. If Aaron is happy you feel his happy. If Aaron is excited you can feel that excitement radiate off of him.
Aaron had just begun a new job at Harley Davidson in Blaine and was enjoying every minute. He was proud of his accomplishment in training and his knack for selling motorcycles. Aaron is a bright and handsome young man thrown into a horrific storm.
