Eagan, Minn. (Nov. 7, 2019) – The CaringBridge team is pledging $10,000 in match contributions for Give to the Max Day on Thursday, November 14. Give to the Max Day is a 24-hour giving event where Minnesotans rally to support local nonprofits. CaringBridge employees honor those they serve through CaringBridge and celebrate their pride in the organization with the financial match of up to $10,000.
“It is an honor to work for CaringBridge. We are able to work with a great group of people who are motivated to help when people need support the most,” said Jason Coleman, a software engineer at CaringBridge.
CaringBridge is a global, nonprofit social network dedicated to helping family and friends communicate with and support loved ones during a health journey. Thanks to compassionate donors, CaringBridge offers free, personal, protected websites for people to easily share updates and receive strength and encouragement from their community. CaringBridge was the first social networking site for communicating during a health event and since 1997 has hosted the sites of nearly 800,000 CaringBridge users. These sites are the products of donations with nearly 90% of funding coming from the people who have experienced the power of CaringBridge firsthand.
“CaringBridge helped my family, especially my sister, when we were dealing with all of the feelings associated with isolation and extreme loneliness throughout her illness. It brought all of her family and friends around the world together into one, beautiful place,” said Kelly Espy, a fundraising campaign manager at CaringBridge.
