CaringBridge, the nonprofit organization created to help people remain connected to their family and friends when experiencing a health journey, hires Chee Wong as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As a member of the senior leadership team, Wong will provide vision and strategic direction for all aspects of technology for the CaringBridge organization.
Wong brings to CaringBridge more than 20 years of industry experience and 14 years of experience in leading and managing technology teams. He most recently worked as Vice President, Delivery Strategy, Enterprise Business Systems at Thomson Reuters and prior to that role was the CTO and Head of Technology for Thomson Reuters’ business in China, ASEAN and North Asia. During his nine years at FindLaw, he held technology management roles with increasing responsibilities and supported its rapid growth.
He started out his career as a software engineer and now is a well-rounded IT leader with direct experience in multiple IT disciplines including application development, data analytics, process modeling, project management and quality assurance.

Wong received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems & Business Administration from Bemidji State University, a Master of Science in Software Engineering from the University of St. Thomas, and a Masters of Science in Management of Technology from the University of Minnesota. He lives with his wife and their two children in Apple Valley, Minn.
