CaringBridge Launches Spring Giving Campaign

Eagan, Minn., (March 15, 2016) — Today, CaringBridge launches Bring Hearts Together, a two-week giving campaign. Beginning March 15 through the end of the month, the campaign features a generous matching gift donated by CaringBridge advisory council member Rik Lalim, who is a longtime volunteer and donor. The match doubles donations received on March 15 and 16 up to $15,000.

“I know that kindness is contagious firsthand—I have watched CaringBridge grow from its inception and I have had three CaringBridge websites myself. In fact, I just recently re-read my guestbook from years ago—what a loving walk down memory lane,” said Lalim. “I’ve never been more committed to CaringBridge, which is why I’m supporting them with this match.”

Hundreds of thousands of families depend on CaringBridge to connect them to their community for strength and support. Today, there are more than 600,000 websites on CaringBridge that are visited by millions of people around the world each year, and a new CaringBridge site is created every 7 minutes.

“People who use CaringBridge understand the powerful impact it has,” said Liwanag Ojala, CEO of CaringBridge. “They feel the therapeutic benefits of journaling, they are relieved of the anguish of repeating emotional stories, and they are surrounded by strength and love, which they can access for free anytime, day or night. A donation to CaringBridge makes all of that possible.”

A donation to CaringBridge keeps these personal websites free and available for any family facing a health crisis. Nearly 90 percent of all funding comes from the people who have experienced the power of CaringBridge firsthand. To learn more or make a tax-deductible contribution, visit www.caringbridge.org/give.
