CaringBridge Launches Holiday Giving Campaign

Eagan, Minn. (December 3, 2019) – CaringBridge kicks off their holiday giving campaign with a challenge to raise $100,000 on December 3, Giving Tuesday. If CaringBridge raises $100,000 in a single day (December 3), the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation will donate $100,000 to CaringBridge. CaringBridge is the global nonprofit social network that helps people connect with family and friends during a health journey.

With the donations of generous supporters, CaringBridge offers free personal websites allowing communities to rally around people on health journeys. The platform gives patients and caregivers a free, private, and secure place to update friends and family, ask for help and get support and encouragement. Nearly 90 percent of all CaringBridge funding comes from the generosity of people who have used the network themselves to share their own health journey or the journey of a friend or family member. Since 1997, donors have supported nearly 800,000 CaringBridge websites that have received a combined 2.2 billion visits.

“Our donors and supporters fuel the work that we do at CaringBridge,” said Liwanag Ojala, CEO of CaringBridge. “Their financial support allows millions of people to be connected and find hope, healing, and community through some hardest times of their life. We are so grateful for our supporters who allow so many people to have that source of comfort.”

The giving campaign continues with a series of match opportunities from generous friends of CaringBridge. The year-end giving campaign runs through December 31, 2019.
