Eagan, Minn., (September 13, 2016) — A health journey is not about one person. It becomes an experience that brings family and friends together. Staying connected can have a powerful impact on hope and the healing process. Beginning September 13 through September 30, CaringBridge asks supporters to join them with a financial gift, honoring the stories and connections that happen on CaringBridge every day.
Thanks to an anonymous friend of CaringBridge, the fall campaign will launch with a generous matching gift. The match doubles donations received on September 13 and 14 up to $10,000.
Hundreds of thousands of families depend on CaringBridge to connect them to their communities for strength and support every day. Today, there are more than 600,000 websites on CaringBridge that are visited by millions of people around the world each year, and a new CaringBridge website is created every 7 minutes for someone in need.
“The patients and families who use CaringBridge understand the powerful impact that it can have,” said Liwanag Ojala, CaringBridge CEO. “The therapeutic benefits of journaling, the relief of not repeating emotional stories, and the strength they gain by being surrounded by love and hope, which they can tap into anytime, day or night. A donation to CaringBridge makes all of that possible.”
A donation to CaringBridge keeps these personal websites free and available for any family facing a health crisis. Nearly 90 percent of all funding comes from the people who have experienced the power of CaringBridge firsthand. To learn more or make a tax-deductible contribution, visit caringbridge.org/give.
