World Caring Day: Celebrating Family Caregivers
World Caring Day is a global event held annually on June 7 to celebrate the power of personal connections and the impact of social support for those facing health challenges and the loved ones who care for them.
On this day, people around the world come together to share stories of hope, love, and compassion, and to raise awareness about the importance of supporting loved ones and their family caregivers on a health journey.
At CaringBridge, we believe that to care is to love, and what can possibly matter more than that?
Inspiration
CaringBridge is a place of help, hope and healing, where those who know, firsthand, what you’re going through may inspire you to keep going, no matter what.
Everyone is invited to share their stories of caring and to recognize, thank, honor and celebrate both those who care and those who are cared for. Read and be inspired by these stories. Join the conversation with #worldcaringday on the CaringBridge Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages.
Support Family Caregivers and Their Loved Ones
Give to CaringBridge, and you will support free, private sites for anyone on a health journey. For every $30 you give, we can power one site— that’s one gift that can change the experience for someone on a health journey and the loved ones who care for them. Every 12 minutes, there’s a new CaringBridge site made to share updates and get support. And every hour, 1,600 messages of love, hope and compassion are posted on a loved one’s CaringBridge site.
The Birth of a Global Caring Movement
The Birth of a Global Caring Movement
CaringBridge is a global non-profit communication platform dedicated to helping families and friends care for and support each other. CaringBridge began simply and beautifully on June 1997 with the 9-day life of a baby named Brighid. Friend of Brighid’s family and CaringBridge founder Sona Mehring sought to develop a new way for family and friends to share health updates online by creating free, private pages.
