Primary Objective of Position

Responsible for the Donor SalesForce CRM system and provides ongoing support, maintenance and configuration. This includes core support functions, system needs analysis, configuration, customization, report and dashboard development, data and user management,data management, data analysis, enforcing data standards, limited database administration, report and dashboard development, sustaining user adoption and training delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Customizes and configures the SalesForce CRM system, including custom objects and fields, page layouts, reports and dashboards, profiles and sharing rules, workflows and approval processes. Configures the system as necessary to include the set-up of Pardot Marketing campaigns, campaign hierarchies, lead queues, assignment rules and Web-to-lead and auto response rules.
  • Develops and maintains reports and dashboards. Ensures accurate and timely development, configuration and implementation of dashboard metrics, reports, tools and customizations to meet business needs.
  • Create profiles, groups & permission sets.
  • Provides first-level support to teams across the department including user administration, issue identification and issue resolution.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert to participate in business discussions relating to new functionality, system solutions or other broadly scoped initiatives.
  • Manages data migration to/from the SalesForce CRM system.
  • Evaluates, recommends and implements third party solutions and app exchange packages based on business request or project needs.
  • Troubleshoots and problem solves the issues related to the SalesForce CRM and application environment, including interfaces to Quickbooks, Mongo DB, and Wealth Engine.
  • Leads efforts to develop training materials and deliver training to internal teams and users to expand use of the SalesForce CRM to optimize donor relations and marketing productivity and effectiveness.
  • Assists in the creation of user documentation and maintain ongoing system change documentation.
  • Assists with data maintenance through ongoing data analysis, data deduping and cleanup activities.
  • Researches and identifies application opportunities around performance, scalability and maintainability.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to software engineering team and others in the organization concerning operation or maintenance of software.
  • Provides back-up support for others in technology team as need arises.
  • Establishes and sustains interactive relationships with external vendors and contacts to result in favorable networks to support the current and future goals of the organization and to benchmark practices/results to maximize organizational effectiveness.
  • Stays current on market, competition and trends including tactics, field concepts and practices applying them to strategies when applicable.
  • Keeps manager informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates/communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
  • Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, technology, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in computer science, technology or position of similar responsibilities.
  • Experience with SalesForce CRM systems and administration preferred.
  • Certification in SalesForce CRM Administration expected within 6 months of hire.
  • Understanding of ETL concepts and tools is desirable.
  • Strong self-starter with a record of success.
  • Strong collaboration and teambuilding skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to manage project activities to completion
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with personnel and outside contacts.
