Primary Duties & Responsibilities

To help drive digital and product strategy through advanced data analysis that allows CaringBridge to maximize the return on investment for all CaringBridge marketing efforts and ultimately, fulfill the mission.

  • Mines data across channels to provide understanding of customer behavior across all departments by analyzing member data, digital KPIs and digital marketing metrics. Researches and reports on user behavior for across platforms and services. Supports testing and optimization of email and other marketing campaigns, landing pages, navigation paths and other initiatives. Performs ad-hoc analytics related to customer behavior as needed.

  • Provides analytical expertise that supports enhancement of current business and financial models for marketing and strategic growth opportunities. Analyzes trends in data (marketing campaign for response, lift, revenue growth, profitability performance) using tools provided by web analytics products.

  • Works with business owners to help define goals and measurements for strategies and initiatives. Monitors the impact of strategies/ initiatives to achieve growth, revenue and ROI goals. Recommends changes on spend allocation to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the marketing budget while meeting business owners’ objectives.

  • Plans, designs and implements reporting dashboards and templates.

  • Proposes new methods for evaluating information, incorporating best practices from high-performing organizations and staying current on the competitive market.

  • Develops and maintains a centralized knowledge base, models and tools to support organizational learnings.

  • Works closely with Technology to ensure analytics requirements, standards and processes are in place and analytics tagging and implementation supports business needs. Develops reports, insights and actionable recommendations on, among other things, sales funnel, marketing channels and site optimization to gain insight for new initiatives.

  • Keeps manager informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates/communicates plans and activities with others as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.

  • Stays current on market, competition and trends including tactics, field concepts and practices, applying them to strategies when applicable.

  • Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in analytics, mathematics, business, management information systems, computer science or related field.
  • 3 - 5+ years of experience in market or product data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical, business and data skills.
  • Tools required
    • Knowledge of JavaScript-based web analytics tracking development and implementation best practices.
    • Proficiency with Excel, Google Analytics.
    • Experience with querying and data extraction using MySQL.
    • Experience with Tableau, Google Experiments and VWO a plus.
  • Ability to match reports and analytics with product objectives.
  • Strong self-starter with record of success.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong collaboration and teambuilding skills.
  • Ability to cope with the rapid pace and change associated with the industry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with personnel and outside contacts.
  • Interest in the intersection of consumer, digital and healthcare and passion for problem solving.
