Hello everyone!! Just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your thoughtful prayers over the course of the past month. I am alive today because of those prayers.
I'm doing wonderful now; back to work part time just to see how things are going and I am also driving during the day again. I have a lot to be greatful for and thank God every day that I am here. Baby is doing awesome. We found out on Thursday that we are having a boy!! We have chosen the name Landon Carter Brunke. We are so excited to have him be a part of our lives.
Well, thank you again to everyone for everything you have done for myself, Tim, Mitchell and Landon. We love each and everyone of you!!!

Oh its is so nice to Erin is back at home. Let's try this again huh. :) That was just a minor setback. Those kinds of things happen for a reason I'm sure...just can't tell you why at the moment. ;) haha Let us all be thankful that everything is working out. As for the low heart rate...think of it like this---Erin has such a big heart, full of love that it is strong and doesn't need to work so hard. ;) Why waste the energy right!!?? Sorry to hear about Erins setback. You keep your head up high, you are a stronger person than you think. Please keep us updated. We will all keep praying. I am going to call Misti at school. She goes to the University of Vertirbo and the church that is located on the campus has had people praying for 7 days a week 24 hours a day for over 100 years now. They pray for the ill. When Erin first went into the hospital they put her and the baby on the top of the list for 7 days. I will have them do that again.

We all so badly want to come and see you all but we know that Erin you really need your rest. I got a couple of little things for you and I will send them with Jim sometime this week. Tim you keep up the great work of taking care of Erin but also make sure you take care of yourself. One of these days the reality is going to hit. Please remember we are here!!!!!!

I am so glad to hear everything is going so well. Congradulations on the baby, it sounds like you guys are exicted to have it. The best advise I can give to you now is rest, rest and more rest. Be sure to limit visitors and phone calls once Erin goes home. The more rest the quicker the healing. Tim you will bave to be tough and set down the rules for Erin on how much she can do and when she can do it. I know there is always things to get done and no one can do it better than me and if Erin is like this someone has to set limits for her or she will be up trying to do things she shouldn't be doing and wearing herself out. Thats the only advise I can give. I now how it feels to have to lay around and rest it is extremly hard, one of the hardest things I ever had to do. Most people would say that would be wonderful, but then as you are laying there your mind starts to work and you think of all these things you need/should be doing. Erin good luck to you on your recovery, take good care of youself and the baby. It looks like you guys are well loved and cared about. Take care, Angel

Sounding better everyday!! I am so excited to hear that you will be home soon. :) It is so hard to belive that less than a week ago we didn't know what was going to happen. Now as we continue to pray, our hopes are that you and baby will continue to get stonger everyday. Erin, you need to be sure to rest!! There are going to be lots of people that are going to want to come visit, but if you don't feel good tell them...they will understand. For the next 5-6 months, you need to focus on YOURSELF and BABY. Being in nursing school, I know how hard something like this can be on someone. As good as things look now, sad to say, but it could all happen again if you dont get your rest. I am going to be at school now for a while, but soon I will be able to come visit. For now, rest and be greatful for all the prayers you have recieved. :) We are all with you.
I love you so much, and I hope you know that. You hold a special place in my heart.

Good Afternoon troops... Well we tried coming to visit today but the snow - sleet- and the crazy wind made us turn around and come home. It is just nasty out. And as much as we wanted to see you - I just felt the road conditions along with the low visibity were not worth the risk. We even had a bad of goodies for Mithcell.

Erin this is certainly not a good day for wearing a " white dress" LOL

I tried calling when we returned home but there was not answer- i then talked to the station nusre and she said you were probably sleeping. So I will try again later.

I was so excited to hear that the ultra sound went well and that baby Brunke is doing just fine.

Well this is getting kinda long, so Erin stay strong -keep fighting- and keep the faith.

What a difference 48 hours make! Tim and Mitchell and your Dad just left the Herald office today after updating us on the great news. Their faces were beaming with joy, telling of you sitting up in bed, making your way to a chair, and talking as if you were just on an overnight stay. I'll never forget the same faces, gathered in the Surgery Waiting Room at Luther-Midelfort, waiting while you underwent surgery. Such sorrow, such pain...and yet, they were filled with hope that you would make it through OK. They - and we - are here for you. God Bless you and your family during this time of trial.
