Have you investigated the Gerson Therapy? It has been healing folks from cancer, tuberculosis, and many other diseases since the 1930's. Do not be surprised if you have not heard of it. More people make a living off of cancer than die from it currently. To learn more there is a free documentary on YouTube called Dying to have known. This might support any parents or persons efforts in finally finding healing. Be well!

Does anybody know where Ic an go to a chat room concerning Alpha 1. My husband has been diagnosed with it recently and we are scared to death. He is 49 and already in advanced stages of emphysema. Misdiagnosed for years as asthma. I really would like to be able to talk to people who have it, or loved ones who can tell us more and what to expect! Any help will be appreciated. Thank you. Way to go Meg. Grandma knew you could do it. Now you are about the size your Mama was at your age. She was a bit taller, but just as skinny as you.

All that working with the PT lady is making Meghan such a strong girl now.

I am glad that Dr. Ragatz approved too. He is one tough doctor and you touched his heart I am sure. Your Mama is kind of special to him too.

I know Mama will write a great story for the SJH Little Angels so you can be with all the other successes. I can not believe you and Gracie were born in the unit Grandma went to work in in 1973. Guess it was meant to be for you both.

Grandma Sherry loves you and Gracie!
Say hi to Mama and Dad for me.

Hi
I am very new to this topic, Our granddaughter, DeAnna, is 10 weeks old and had a Kasai procedure done 1 month ago. At first the doctors believed she had Billary Atresia. Now, after a second biopsy they found that it is Alpha 1. Thank You, for the great website.

Thanks for that update, I can really relate to the "three year old challanging authority" thing. HA! They are so wonderful and precious but I think Aiden somtimes just wants to be BOSS. It is tough sometimes when you do it right, but I know in the long run it will pay off. I would rather him challange my authority now about a lollipop and him lose, than challange me about driving my car at 16 and me lose. So hang in there, I know how it is.. those little rascals. Gotta love 'em! haha

I love the new pictures of all three of your beautiful girls. I am so glad to hear Meghan is walking. I know for me it was a big relief when Havalah finally started at 20 months! Just one less thing for you to worry about! Any chance you and your lovely ladies will be at the liver support group meeting on the 16th? Oddly enough the last one was the very day before all of our issues started! We got our first set of bad labs the tuesday morning afterwards and thurs was the admission that started out the string of issues we had. Hopefully we're done with all of that and home for a long time.

Jen-
That would be great if you could get on the Board. The pediatric population needs a voice! I know what you mean about those "blue days" at times when the gravity of the situation hits you. Hopefully those are rare, and the lightness of good times and good health make up for those moments. Sean always loved the oatmeal with apples--Earth's Best (new brand when Sean was born). Looking forward to seeing you in Dallas.

So glad to hear that you're in the potty training club, too! Shelby is wearing real panties, too, and doing great :). It seems like just yesterday that Meghan was born and such a tiny peanut. I'm so happy to see that she is up to 10 lbs now. You know, we're less than 2 hours away from you. We need to get together sometime. Take care!

No matter how bad my day seems, all I have to do is look at the pictures of the girls. You just can't help but chuckle and smile looking at Miss Megs happy face, and imagining Gracie dancing in her fairy wings :) Grandma Kathy loves all three of your girls (thisssssssssss much)!

It is amazing to see how far Gracie has come. I can only wait to see what crazy things Meg will tell me in 2 years from now. My favorite from Gracie is when she tells me I can't call her peanut because that's Meghan
