Well, we were not sure if we would update again, then we thought in honor of our Lisa's life it was appropriate to do so.

It was two years on Friday, August 29, that our Lisa went to be with our Redeemer. Sometimes it still seems as if it was just yesterday. The memories of her are still very clear, the flashbacks of those last weeks can be vivid at times.

We are all doing okay, and although very sad, and missing Lisa as much as ever, we still see joy in life. We still have much to be thankful for. I have said this before, but I must repeat that we are thankful most of all that Lisa knew Jesus as her Savior and had (has) a personal relationship with Him. We are thankful that He sent His angels to watch over her those last days, and that He was guarding her in all of her ways. We felt like we were standing on Holy Ground as we sensed His presence and the presence of His angels in that hospital room. We are thankful for each other, for the children, Meg, Taylor and Brooke, and for His mercies, new every morning.

Taylor is doing well, in 7th grade now. Some days we feel as if she has just begun to grieve as she has those meltdowns at times, missing her mommy. Mostly she goes about like a normal 12 year old, playing video games, her PSP, IPOD, and things girls her age enjoy. She and Brooke still have a very special relationship. They love each other very much. Meghan and Taylor do well also, as Taylor is getting closer to being a teen like Meg.

Renee is back and Brian will be following in a few weeks, the Lord willing. His time in the Navy is done. God blessed Renee with a very good job and she is very thankful for that. Gayle and the girls are doing well also, Brooke is in 1st grade and Meghan is in 10th.

So much we do not understand, but we know God does all things well, and that someday we will all be together again and the things of this world, and the sadness we have experienced, will dim as we see Him and as Lisa greets us in Heaven.
