I love the update. Antonio is such a handsome young man. He was the first person I found that beat Neuroblasmtoma when my son was diagnosed two years ago. He was my first hope that we could beat it too. God bless you all and I am so happy both of our boys are doing well.

Oh Antonio! You are so handsome! I'm so glad you are doing well. There was a time when I used to pray for you with tears running down my face. I was so afraid we were going to lose you. It's wonderful that I don't have to do that anymore! You are doing so great. I'm glad for you too, Olivia! Mom's have it just as hard as the cancer warrior. Love to you both.

It's so great to read a success story like Antonio's. A very dear family friend is battling Stage IV NB right now. She has had complete response to all chemo, radiation, surgery, SCT and is right now cancer free. She just started antibody treatment yesterday and has 6 months to go. Your story gives hope that she really can make it through all of this. Thank you for maintaining an update, so people like Paige and her family can find these stories of hope.

Hi Olivia!!! I usually don't check your guestbook anymore cause I know you are busy, and no news is good news, but I'm so glad for the two of you. You know I am. Antonio and you are very special to me. I thank God all the time that he is doing so well. I was so scared for him when I read his story on MACS, and talked to my sister who worked at children's hosp at the time. I'm so very grateful you have a more normal life. You are a very sweet person, and antonio is my brave, cute little buddy. I'm leaving for Seattle today-Friday at 3:30 to visit my sister!!! If you have spare time, I would love to see you and Antonio,. My sister works next Tue, Wed and Thurs, so I'm free those days. I'll leave my cell number on your voice mail. It's a long drive for you though, and I understand if you can't visit me. Please take care-and give Antonio a hug, ok? I get tears in my eyes when I think how well he is doing-and so handsome. I'm proud of you both. Love to you always, Pat

What a fantastic outcome! I have a 20mo daughter who was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma N-MYC amplified on the 13th June, 2007. We are still at the induction phase of chemo and have a very, very long journey ahead of us. She hasn't been given a very good survival rate, so it was just so heartwarming to read your journal!

Hi Antonio and Olivia! I always watch for updates, and you are in my thoughts often. I'm glad things are going ok-except for a few bathroom accidents-once in a while Blake will have an accident too-he's been ok the last few months, but Debbie had a little concern that lasted for about 2 months when he would be just too busy to bother to go to the bathroom, and he had a few nighttime accidents-we thought he was moving backwards, but it went away. Don't worry-Antonio just gets distracted with life!!!!! I'll be praying for great scans in January--clear scans-perfect. Take care, I love you both and miss being able to see you! You are both in my thoughts and prayers, and Gibby too. Your account was heart wrenching- and I agree 100%-no parent or child should ever have to go thru that. People don't realize or appreciate how blessed they are. We are a nation of very spoiled people-everyone wanting a 5,000 sq ft house! Ridiculous. Hi Antonio,
I just visited your site by chance and I want to let you know that I am a surviver of a neuroblastoma nearly 40 years ago I was born with a neuroblastoma on my shoulder and thank GOD for my beautiful mum that I'm here now because she was the one who found it and I was then operated on at 19 days of age and after many hospital visits, blood test etc I'm still here with a beautiful husband, daughter and son. So good luck for the future keep your head up. Gerty

HI Antonio and Olivia! Pre school will be great for Antonio, and just another sign that he has normalcy in his life. That things are going in the path that we all want. And think of all the new experiences he'll have. It'll enrich his life. He'll have things to share with you each day!! Hooray! And Olivia, it'll give you a chance to pursue goals in YOUR life too. I guess it'll be very hard for awhile-I think caring for a very ill child must make you closer than most , and must make you both more dependant on each other-but normal activities will help you both grow. And you'll appreciate each other even more, if that's possible.I will pray that things just keep getting better-you've both had 100 times your share of bad-enough!!! On with the GOOD! Hooray! We're all fine-Debbie is expecting another-on April 15--I don't remember if I told you. I love you both, take care, Pat

Hi Antonio! I'm sorry that you have sinus and ear trouble-that can hurt alot, but medicine will make it all go away! We loved our visit with you and your Mom--You are both very special people and it's an honor to know you. It is something we will never forget, and the next time we visit Seattle we'll have to see each other again. By then you and Blake will be so much bigger! And older! But not me--I'm going to stay the same age I am now-in fact I should have thought of this many years ago-I could have stayed 39 like Jack Benny!!! I'll bet you don't know who Jack Benny is!!! He lived a long time ago-he was really funny and he was on tv and in the movies. The pictures I took of all of us are still in my camera-I just took a roll in and discovered pictures from back in March, so who knows when I'll finish this roll--I'll try to do better this time. I promise. So rest up and do what your mama says, and you'll feel better real soon. Take care, I love you, your friend Pat

Dearest Antonio, Olivia and Grandma: Your little man is so handsome! And with that smile he looks like the type that gives all the doctors and nurses a run for their money whenever he's at the hospital. Thanks be to God for his NED status; you can be assured of our prayers as his next round of scans approaches. My nephew Eric was just five months older than Antonio, and was diagnosed with stage IV neuroblastoma just two weeks after Antonio's diagnosis. Unfortunately he left us for Heaven on November 28th of last year, and he took all our hearts with him. It is promising to hear of Antonio's progress, and hopefully there will be a cure found for this horrible disease soon. Much love to you all, and may Antonio stay free of this stinker for the rest of his long life!!

Hi Olivia! You and Antonio are always in my thoughts and prayers!Try not to worry too much-we can't change things, and it takes our pleasure of the moment away, right? It's so easy to say that, but being a mom and grandma, I understand so much what you mean, altho not completely because I haven't been thru what you have. I will certainly pray that the scans are good. Take care-give Antonio a big hello and hug from me. And I'm sending you a big hug, cause Mom's need them too.Your friend, Pat Biksacky

Olivia,
I know just how you feel right now. When Hunter went to once every two weeks for his appointments I thought I'd go crazy. I used to say that I wished there was a machine that he could stand on every morning like a bathroom scale and it would tell us that he was still o.k. Sometimes we would go to the hospital to eat or go to the playroom even if Hunter didn't have an appointment--just to make me feel better. It'll get easier. Courage and strength to you both.

I do not want it in here -
Not here, not there, not anywhere.
Take this cancer
Take it all!!
Let chemo make it very small.
So small it does not exist,
Take it away, I insist !!
I’ve got things to do
Places to be.
My dream is to be cancer-free !
I’m only a kid,
Should I have to fight this fight?
I wish cancer was EXTINCT
With all of my might!!
