Did I read that right? 19 months since you've been gone? How have I made it through? How has anyone survived losing a child? I'll tell you how...
People- My Friends, stranger's, internet stalkers have all let me babble on and on about you, my amazing Zach Attack. They have listened to songs, they read the quotes I find that help me, and they let me say your name over and over again. They never make me feel like I am annoying them or that they are sick of hearing about you. Sometimes I get pictures of them visiting your gravesite or sometimes they even send me a beautiful ORANGE sunset that they saw and thought of you.
Again People: They raise money and gifts in your name over, and over again. I'm sure everyone asking for money this time of year gets really old and frustrating, but for the 2nd Christmas that you are gone from us they continue to step up to the plate and donate, time and money and things. Zach- we have new friends that unfortunately never had the chance to meet you step up to the plate in your name and help bring joy to other families that are going through their own struggles. They have donated books and blankets and money for gift cards all in your name. What a LEGACY!!!
Your Legacy: I hold on to that everyday. I am so proud of your legacy Zach. This Legacy of yours gets me through every single day. I think about what you accomplished in your 12 short years here. People leave this earth everyday and they haven't made an impact like you have, but because of your amazing smile and spirit and FIGHT people will always remember you and give their time and Love in your name. I mean really, who wouldn't want to get up to that every single day!
I miss you every moment of every day Zach. I know I will see you again someday, but I also know you have a first row seat to what your 12 years brought to people. I know you are proud!! I am Proud!!
Love you more Zach Attack-
Your Forever Grateful Mom!!!
Merry Christmas is Heaven Zach!
