I work for Hertz Car rental and I found the "Zach Attack" card in a vehicle that had been rented and returned.  I am pleased/honored to hear about this wonderful young man and to sign this page.  I have 4 kids myseld and my heart goes out to his family and closest friends.  I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

We were Zach Attacked this morning.  A friend and I met up for breakfast at a diner in Vienna Virginia to celebrate our birthdays.  We went to pay the bill and the waiter handed us a card and said another lady(who had already left) had paid for our breakfast.  After reading the card we did thank Zach and this evening I came to read about your dear Zach.  Extra prayers are being said for you and your family today and I look forward to sharing the card with another person later this week.  Thank you for sharing your story and Zach's smile.

I love your entries...though they make me sad...stop it!  Just kidding...I think it's healthy for you to write down your feelings whether it's here or in a journal at home.  Even though I still have Jared, I think I will feel the same way you do...I question even now if I have done enough for Jared...but I think that just says a lot about how much love we have for our children.  As your page says here HOPE...cling to that and be hopeful in 2014 for good things to come.  Be ready because "with hope comes faith"....Love you, Kristi

Rachelle,  He will come in your dreams and give you peace through thoughts and ideas.  I am reading a library book about that very same idea. You WILL see him, and your decision was correct.  Love is giving and that is what you did.  I saw the NBIA paper and the picture of your family by his headstone.  I never knew his middle name was Thomas. Sometime, I will tell you personally why Tom didn't have a middle name. I will send my first check this year to NBIA in memory of Zach. I have another story about a sign I asked for and received.  I wanted to know if those that had died (just before Tom) were OK.  I did receive the most awesome sign, so like one of those that died.  Email me, please.  I wish I had received your Christmas card, but 2013 was a crappy year for us, too. I look at pictures of Zach and think: "Even more so because of his death." I couldn't even send Christmas cards, except o 3 people that I cared about and had lost someone last year. Thank you for being "YOU" and being honest. Honesty gives us all the ability to grieve.  It is silent, because those that do not grieve have life go on.  One of my best friends died on Nov. 18, unexpectedly of natural causes. We shared so much and her kid's called me Aunt Nancy.  Take care and my prayers are for you comfort.  Nancy Rudd

I need more "Zach Attack" handouts.  I should have copied them, but I didn't!  Can you send just one, Rachele, and I will copy them for our Zach Attacks!  I pray for your comfort during this past holiday season, and the comfort of your family in Zach's loss to you.  If you want to send an attachment, I am at wingrider1954@gmail.com.  No more FB.  Love, Nancy

I have found you again.  We "Zack Attacked" the Second Harvest food bank this holiday season.  The working poor go there to get things to eat.  I am glad to have found your page because even though your body is no longer of this earth, your spirit will live forever.  How fortunate for all of us!  Love you Auntie Nancy

Merry Christmas!! We were zach attacked on the 6th floor of children's. My 4 month old daughter was there for a week (we were released yesterday), after being admitted with RSV, pneumonia, bronchiolitus, ear infection, stomach flu - the poor thing had it all. As a first time mom, nothing has been scarier and more emotionally draining, but your zach attack certainly brightened our spirits and I want to send a HUGE thanks for that. I think some things were meant to be - we received a pink blanket with owls, the exact decor of my daughters nursery. We also got home from the hospital late last night and flipped on the news just in time to see your story!! We were again extremely moved by your story. My husband and I both in tears.

I am am very sorry for your loss, zach seemed like an amazing kid and a fighter. He certainly made an impact on our family this holiday season and we can't wait to pay it forward to others. I would LOVE to participate in more attacks going forward or donate to the next one. My contact is jadestull@gmail.com. Merry Christmas!!

I was Zach attacked at Caribou Coffee this morning after church.  What a pleasant surprise especially when I was paying for the person behind me because of random acts of kindness we are doing at church.  You are an amazing person and your son must have been an inspiration to many.  May God bless you this holiday season!!!

You Zach Attacked us at Children's Hospital!  The 6th floor wants to give you a huge thanks and a big hug for all the time, effort, money, and organization it took to find a way to give to families at Children's.  I remember taking care of Zach over the years, and was so sad hearing that he passed away.  I've had a bit of time to read your CaringBridge journal, and all of the impossible grief, sadness, and anger is there.  But what emanates from every page you fill, Rachele, is the incredible love and memory you have for your son.  Hope is what you continue to create,  and Zach's heart SHINES through all that you do!  Blessings to you!

Zach attack strikes again when my neighbors attached this card to the two free Vikings tickets they graciously gave me! It gave me a chance to spend time with one of my good friends and to relax this Sunday. Thank you for the day of fun! My thoughts and prayers are with zach and his family and I look forward to passing the "Zach Attack" card along.
