WOW! How time goes by. Here it is November. Zachary did recieve his hearing aid only to find out his ears seem to constantly drain which makes it impossible for him to wear it, due to the amount of damage that the moisture could do to the aid. So for now we are still using the Soundfield system at school and infared headsets at home. Special visit to audiologist turned into immediate appointment with ENT only to find the opposite of what the Audiologist found (a dry ear). So because of the results varied so drastically from one day to the next Zachary is now considered to have flucuating hearing. No suprise to mom though. Right Tube is already out AGAIN but since he has no hearing on that side it is not emergency to put tube back in until it becomes a medical issue with fluid. Then we are going to place a more permenent tube versus the type of the last 5. Zachary's scans came back fine with the report of no active disease...YAHOO. But nothing to show why he still is off balance and has frequent pains in his neck and back. We were sent to Neurology and are due back for check up. Zachary's has great days at school but is very tired when he gets home. He is still sleeping alot but I guess he needs it. This too will be discussed with Neuro DR.
