This morning I feel like the doctor coming before a family to deliver bad news. Last month, I told you all that a CT scan showed a spot on Zac's right kidney that, at the time, was dismissed as scar tissue. Yesterday, after a follow-up CT scan, Zac has been admitted back into 11 North and we have learned that a mass is actually wrapping itself around Zac's kidney. He also has several nodules in and around his stomach, back and neck. Dr. Jagasia has informed us that there are three probabilities. It could be leukemia somehow growing outside of the bone marrow; it could be a different type of cancer or less likely it could be a super bad bug reeking havoc. Today, and I assume in the next couple of days, there will be testing and biopsies to determine exactly what we are up against. Zac is so brave and to see him and talk to him, you would think they just told him he had an ingrown toenail. He knows that, no matter what, he just has to continue to fight. And I know he is prepared to deal with anything this life can throw at him. I just wish he didn't have to try it all.
Please keep him on your prayer lists and lift him up often. Love and blessings to you all.
