My Story

I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. Jeremiah 29:11

Hello,

Sorry for being so late this update. As you can imagine we've been very busy.

So, last time Matt updated this I was 4 months pregnant. Now I'm nearing my 7th month and growing. We found out a few weeks ago that we're being blessed with a beautiful little boy who we've decided to name Micah Joseph Prainito! After 4 ultrasounds he finally decided to show us the goods! :)

So now I've been growing and little Micah is moving around a lot. More than moving he likes to push. Matt and I feel his little head or butt every so often pushing out my side or front making himself known to be in there and active.

The last few weeks my mom, sister and I have been going through items and to sell at yard sales and such. We need to make room for Micah's new room which has more often been used as a office and music room for Matt. Now its slowly being cleared out. We've had two yard sales so far, both very successful. My Dad has been hard at work in our garage building shelves to store the things we want to keep so it's just been one big project after another. But a blessing none the less.

We registered a week ago which was fun. We started at target and moved our way to Babies R Us. Target was fun, but that's because they have only 4 aisles. When we walked into Babies R Us I think we both took a step back. The first thought was "do we need all of this"? Still it was fun. It's almost like day dreaming you know? We knew we were having a child, but when you begin to pick out diapers and bottles and strollers and stuff, you begin to picture yourself using them. That took the good portion of our day, nearly 4 hours but was worth it. We had fun.

When I look back on this year I'm in disbelief that God would pick a simple woman like me, and use me to go through this trial of cancer. As Matt and I read from the book of James yearly on, If we would face a trail head on, we would be rewarded with life, and more life. In Isaiah 54 I read that I would have more kids than my house would hold. All of these scriptures read before I even had one dose of chemo, and yet these were promises that Matt and I prayed on, and held onto. And now, we live each of these past few months preparing for a child, where last year at this time I was undergoing chemo and preparing for surgery. We didn't know what the future was going to bring. But we both agreed that God was bigger than this circumstance that we faced, and that regardless of the outcome He would be glorified. And so with this, we Praise God for this child He is giving us and can't wait for the future in store of our family.

Remember, in all trials and circumstances, Give God the praise and Glory knowing that He knows the plans He has for our future. A future we could hope for if we follow him, serve him with our heart, and will be called according to HIS purpose. Not our own, but His. God is good!.

Bless you all for your continued prayers,

~Yoli
