UPDATE on Wayne
Written Sep 29, 2013 5:19pmPsalm 136:26 Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever.Romans 5:2-5 Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
Today is 4 years since Wayne was told he had only a few months to live! We are still living and walking out a miracle in our lives! We got to celebrate with loved ones, and express our gratitude to God for his mercy toward our family!
Wayne is still feeling great! He works most every day..... and his latest endevor is a chainsaw sawmill. This thing is amazing! But not as amazing as the man who built it!!! AND still,... even more amazing is the God behind the man!!!!!!! We are thankful for each and every day that the Lord sees fit to bless us with!!! And we look forward to many, many more!!!!!!!!!!!!!God is so good, and His mercies endure forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Written Jun 8, 2013 9:09am"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" as it is written in James 5:16. Many times I've heard this verse, but never contemplated the true meaning of the word "fervent". Just this past week I heard a radio pastor teaching on the subject, and he stated that the word means "desperate". The effective desperate prayer of a righteous man availeth much. That changed my whole outlook on the verse, and for the first time it made perfect sense.God likes to work out of desperation! When the world has no solution,.... when the experts say its impossible; Can you just imagine Joshua meeting with the top engineers of the Jericho walls; stating "how can I make these walls fall?" The answer I'm most sure would have been a laughable "it's impossible!" BUT GOD stepped in and they fell! The people of the Lord were fervent/desperate. And God heard and answered their prayers! Our Pastor Caryl calls it "showing up, and showing out". And that is exactly what God does. He likes to work through the prayers of desperate people. People who have no other place to put their hope. And the surprising thing about all of this is....... "it's quite easy!" When God is your ONLY place to turn,.... your ONLY hope,...... its very easy to cry out to Him and expect an answer!!!I can speak of this with certainty, because for the past 4 years, we have lived it!AND now on to more good news! Wayne had his latest scan on Monday, and received the results yesterday. They were as they have been for several scans in a row now....... no change.... no growth..... no activity.... no new areas of involvement! Wayne told me it looks like I'm stuck with him for a little while longer! ;) To which I replied "that's just how I want it!"The doctor indicated that she is not really concerned about scheduling the next scan. Probably somewhere 6+ months out!Thank you all many times over for standing with us in faith and sending up prayers on our behalf!!!!OH I'M TELLING YOU!!!..... OUR GOD IS SO GOOD!!!!!!!James 5:16
King James Version (KJV)
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
