Tuesday, June 25 during the afternoon, my dad, Wayne Klumper, got into a motorcycle accident. The cause of the accident is not known at this time. He is in Sioux Falls, SD at Sanford hospital in the ICU. He is under the care of expert surgeons and doctors. He is surrounded by his family.
Today my dad drove his truck! How cool is that! He hadn't driven any sort of vehicle since June 25th. Now, he is back behind the wheel and loving his new found independence. He drove his truck down Highway 59/60. I asked him if he felt comfortable and confident while driving and he replied, "Oh yeah!" He is happy today because of his driving adventure and also from putting on his farm clothes and working in the barn. It is eerie returning to caring bridge after being away for so long, after going through so much. I don't want to take up much of your time but I just felt moved to share my dad's excitement of being able to drive again. He is still undeterred and we are still very proud of him.
