My Story

Wain had a successful kidney transplant 2-26-08. His niece Yai gave him life through the amazing gift of one of her kidneys. 1 month later Wain learned he had developed liver cancer. Since then he has had 2 liver transplants and he is now on his way to a healthy life. (see full story for details)

WAIN IS COMING HOME!!! He got the all clear to return to Minneapolis and will be leaving Rochester tomorrow. He says he feels "overwhelmed and emotional" as he realizes what it has taken for him to get to this point. He is excited about feeling good and being healthy. He will need to take it easy and has to avoid large crowd settings for awhile, but he is really looking forward to seeing his family and friends. Christmas will be extra special this year!! Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers which have carried Wain through this time in his life.
